Racing Resume

Objective
Use my extensive experience in karting and Solo 2 to assist a driver in the development of their skills as a racer both on and off the track.

Summary of Track Experience
1988 – New Jersey
• Began competing in Go-kart Gumball Rallies
• Won “Outlaw” modified race at Wildwood Beach driving a 5HP Briggs & Stratton powered fun-kart, racing against 12+ HP Beast/Dingo off-road karts.

1989 – Cuddebackville, New York
• Started competing in kart racing at Oakland Valley Raceway in Junior 2.
• Began competing in WKA Gold Cup Series and continued local program

1991 – North Texas Karters (NTK)
• Moved to Dallas, TX and began competition at North Texas Kartway in Denton, Texas in Stock Lite, Briggs & Stratton based 4-stroke class.

1993 – North Texas Karters & Texas Kart Council (TKC)
• Changed classes: WKA, Yamaha Light (100cc 2-stroke).
• Continued local competition in bracket style classes as well as the Texas Kart Council’s (TKC) statewide championship.
• Consistently qualified for and won “Bracket A” against 135cc (35+h.p.) superkarts with a Yamaha Light legal motor (22 h.p.) and an aging chassis.
• Finished 5th overall in TKC year end points championship in first year

1994 – Texas Kart Council
• Continued competition in TKC events.
• Competed in first annual Monterrey International Kart Race and won the Yamaha Light category against 20 other international competitors.
• Finished 5th overall in TKC year end points championship
• Attended first racing school: Bob Bondurant’s School of High Performance Driving, 4-Day Grand Prix Racing Course.
• Earned a 2.8 (average is 2.0) in final critique.
• Began running SCCA & Equipe Rapide Autocross competitions driving a
1973 280Z, 1983 280ZX Turbo, 1984 Toyota Celica and 1985 Mazda RX-7.

1995 to 1997 – Occasional competition in SCCA West Texas Region AutoX.

1998 – Cuddebackville, NY
• Returned to kart competition and immediately won the A-Main at
4 of 6 contested weekends after 4 years of “retirement” from karting.
• Returned to SCCA Autocross competition with 1996 Plymouth Neon.

2002 – Cresson, TX
• First motorcycle track day riding a 2002 Suzuki SV650S with Lone Star
Track Days.

2003
• Acquired a 2001 Honda CBR 600 F4i and began running track days.
• Honda CBR remained street legal and was used as a daily driver as well as track duty.
• Ran 12 track days with Lone Star Track Days and RideSmart in 2003.
• Organized seven rider group from Dallas and attended Jason Pridmore’s
STAR School at Barber race course in Birmingham, Alabama
(2 day racing school).
• Competed in CMRA Endurance & sprint races at Cresson, TX in October.
• Endurance: Started 49th and moved to 27th in my first 40-minute stint.
Finished 38th overall after being forced to retire by weather and wrong tire choice. Best time recorded was a 1:27 running track in CCW direction.
• Sprints: Competed in 3 sprint races: Middleweight Supersport (19th),
Heavyweight Supersport (16th), and Middleweight Superbike (14th) with a
best lap time of 1:26.

(Honda F4i was nearly showroom stock with only changes being tires, brake lines, slip-on exhaust and removal of all lighting. Motor, all suspension, bodywork and gearing were all showroom stock with 16,000+ street miles.)

2004
CMRA Championship Endurance Series
• March 13 – Lightweight Superbike – 3rd Place
• April 3 – Formula Production 50 – 2nd Place
• May – Suffered two broken bones in left foot
• August – Return to racing Lightweight Superbike
• November – Suffer multiple injuries at Oak Hill Raceway

BMWCCA Autocross Mineral Wells
• September – 3rd Place D Stock in Mini Cooper S
(first time to drive car, raced on street tires)
• Instructed two drivers at Autocross (M3 and Cooper S)

2005
• Temporarily Retired from motor sport
• April - Completed Houston to Austin MS150
• May - Completed Dallas to Ardmore MS150
• August - Completed Hotter 'n' Hell Hundred
• September - Suffered broken right leg while mountain biking

2006
• Competed in several rounds of the Texas Mini Grand Prix Championship

2007
• July - Completed Development Class at The Superdrome
• August - Began competing in bicycle track racing at The Superdrome in Cat 4

2008
• February - Competed in Pace Bend Road Race
Cat 5 - 10th overall
• March - Competed in Celina Road Race
Cat 5 - Top 40 (combined result with Cat 4)
• March - Commence season at The Superdrome in Cat 4
Consistent Top 3 in Omnium
• April - The Matrix Cup - D2 Texas Cup Events
Cat 4 - 7th Overall
